Were you at school during World War Two?  Did you take part in activities towards the war effort (eg  food production, knitting, National Savings and other fund-raising activities, civil defence, work with evacuees )? Dr. Virginia Morrow and Professor Berry Mayall - researchers at the Institute of Education, University of London - are studying children’s contributions to the war effort. The study will include analysis of policy documents, media coverage and other archive material. Peoples’ own recollections are an important part of the study. If you would like to write down your memories of this time, or agree to a short interview (time and place to suit you) we should be very grateful.  The study will lead to journal papers and (we hope) a book, and all information will be treated confidentially.
